Wow, so that was a long weekend! Thanksgiving Weekend has come and gone and the one thing I am truly grateful for is that it’s over! Not to say I didn’t have a great time, it was just a long trip and I am glad to be home. So let’s break it Down.

Wednesday: Work was normal, Right after work I went home and Started Packing up for the Trip. We left at about 7:30pm to drive to Nashville TENN. It was a VERY long drive. I OD’d on Jawbreakers and Diet Pepsi. We stopped at one place that was a real hole in the wall, It was about Midnight and there was a Gas Station/Omlette House/Convience Store. The Omlette House was being run by a very overworked Waitress who was arguing with the Mullet Sporting cook. Good Times! And can someone explain to me what a Tire Beater is for? (Please don’t say to Beat Tires, what did that Tire do to you?) Saw one in the store, looked like a Billy Club. We Finally Arrived at Lee’s Place at around 6am Thurs Morning and Promptly Passed out.

Thursday: Turkey Day! Once I finally woke up (Still dreary) we came out and started Gaming a little, Got Lee hooked into Halo 2. I finally bit the bullet and Installed Everquest2. It’s not that bad, But I am still glad I didn’t buy it (: It’s really kinda fun. Lots of Quests (get it, everquest) and the world is HUGE! The Graphics are Amazing and they did a great job with the content. After gaming for a while we got cleaned up and headed to Lee’s Parents place for Turkey. It was a Very nice family dinner and it was great of them to let us spend it with them. We then came home and went back to Sleep for a few hours. (I was really tired) That night we hung out and drank and talked the night away

Friday: Ahhh the joys of sleeping in, and How I miss them so. Lee has Kids so it was up at 8am for me. Was ok, Lee and I did some more gaming and General Lazyness in the morning. We went to pick up His Sister and headed down to Lynchburg TN to the Jack Daniels Distillery. We Ate at the BBQ Caboose (same place as last time) and just Wandered around having a good time. The evening was more drinking and gaming. (prolly why I can’t remember specifics)

Saturday: This was Game on day for me and Lee. The Previous days were constantly interrupted with Kids and other stuff, this was the day he and I got to really play. The girls went out and went shopping to get ready for their Girl stuff evening. Missy took Amy and bought a really nice outfit to wear. They were going to a Pops Concert. So we did a Lot of EQ2 gaming. Was great! The Girls came home Late in the evening and we Stayed up a little while Playing Cards.

Sunday: Driving home sucked. There was TONS of traffic, but I guess that’s to be expected. We stopped to eat at a cracker barrel and it was great food but they took FOREVER! Amy was also very happy because she got to eat at Sonic for Lunch. You see we don’t have a Sonic near my house so it’s a treat. We got home at Midnight and crashed out.

I may or May not update this if I remember stuff. I am still really tired.

Forget this who waiting 2 weeks thing. I Have Canceled my SWG account and Will go Find something else to Play.

This weekend is Turkey weekend and I will Most Likely be going to TENN to Visit Lee.

Ok, as many of you know, I play Star Wars Galaxies online and for the most part it’s been a good game, except for one thing…. The Smugglers. Smugglers have been broken since before beta and the Devs have Constantly Lied to us saying that Fixes were coming. There is a Great thread in the Smuggler Forums that documents this. So Many Many of the Smugglers are very jaded on the subject and are becoming more and more vocal. In the last 2 days I know of 4 smugglers that have canceled their accounts because of this. So I took it upon myself to send a Simple message to the Developers. Whenever I saw one post to the forum I replied in their thread with this:

Very Polite. I did this on 6 Different threads over the span of 2 days with No Response. I did not Post more than once per thread. After posting the 6th one (which was then deleted by a Moderator) I find this message when I go back:

Needless to say the Smugglers are upset about this and I hope that action is taken quickly. I think I will probably ride out the two weeks and see if anything is Said/Done towards Smugglers. If there is nothing, I will most likely Quit Star Wars Galaxies. I can’t Justify giving someone money to treat me like crap.

On a Lighter note, I took my Truck into the dealer to investigate a weird squeak that was going on in the back seat area. Turns out it was under the Head Liner, some weird crossbeam that was rubbing against the wall. But it’s fixed now and I pick it up soon! They gave me a Crappy Ford Focus as a loaner. Still, is better than the Mini-Van they gave me last time.

What a Weekend! First on Friday I finally bought the new Car Stereo for the new truck. It’s really good and I got a great deal on it. So I had that installed and pretty much took Friday night off. Saturday morning I had a mild headache so I woke up and took a shower (about 10am). Amy wasn’t awake yet so I decided to sneak out of the house. I got dressed real quiet and carefully made my way out of the house and Down to a little Bagel place. I picked me up some Breakfast and some Chai. Came back and she was Still asleep so I arranged the Breakfast sandwiches on a plate and Took her a Chai and woke her up with Breakfast in Bed. She was very surprised.

After enjoying our breakfast we got up and got ready to go down to Fredericksburg. Garrison Tyranus was having a Bowling party down there so we decided to attend. On the way down we stopped at Potomac Mills Mall and picked up something for Docs Birthday which was Sunday. The Bowling party was fun, I got a few Pictures and didn’t do too Bad. And for Amy’s first time Bowling she did Pretty well. Sat night I wasn’t feeling well so we went home and watched a movie (I don’t remember much)

Sunday was a busy morning. Woke up and Got Dressed, Headed to Wal-Mart to Print out a Picture of Jewel Staite that we took at DragonCon. Then Got some Chai, and some other errands I am sure I forgot about. Then we headed to GalaxyCon. I have to say GalaxyCon is prolly the smallest convention I have ever seen. The dealers room had a total of about 4-5 Dealers. There was 1 Fan Table. 1 Autograph room with about 6 Celebs, and 1 Panel Room. When we got there Jewel was up giving her Panel. I think she recognized us from DragonCon too. After the Panel we gave them the picture to keep and even got a small version of it Signed by her and Her Hubby Matty. Since the convention was so small, we had pretty much seen everything in the first 10 min so we spent the rest of the time hanging out with Jewel and Matty. Every now and Then Robia Lamorte (Jenny Calendar from Buffy) and Mark Lutz (the Groosalugg from Angel) would stop by and chat. We finally left there around 5pm. It was a lot of Fun hanging out with them for the day. There were rumors of them coming back for a few other conventions and I hope they do. It would be great to see them again.

Came home on Sunday night and just relaxed at home. Not much else to say (:

Time to Play Catch Up!!! So many things happened in the last few days that I just haven’t had the chance to blog it all. So you know what that means: DAY BY DAY RUNDOWN!

Friday: Typical day at work. I Came home and was all Set to go See the Incredibles and the new EPIII Trailer! Amy and I got to the theater and Waited in line (not very long) Got in and sat in my Fav Seat, Dead Center near the Railing that separates the Stadium Seats and the Front Row Seats. This young Kid sits next to me and Starts Chatting it up about all the movies he has seen. I tell him how excited I am to see the New Trailer. The Lights Dim and The Trailers Start rolling. Lots of new Movies Coming out, But no EPIII. I was bummed. Apparently after speaking with a Manager I find out that they only received 1 copy of the Trailer and it was running on a different screen. BAH! Anyways, we watched the Incredibles and it was Incredible. I highly recommend this Movie!

Saturday: We packed up the truck and headed down to Colonial Williamsburg for a nice quiet weekend. I had called and Made Reservations at a Place called “the Inn at 802” which was a nice little Bed and Breakfast just a few blocks away from Colonial Williamsburg. Amy had no Clue what was happening. She was so surprised! We walked around the city and looked at all the historical sites. Went back and relaxed at the B&B, then for Dinner we went to the Kings Arms Tavern. Wow what a Meal! There was peanut soup, and Bread, and Cornbread, and Relishes, and Chicken and Stuffing, and Ham, and Cauliflower (yes, Amy ate the Cauliflower). We were soooooo Stuffed. We headed back to the room and Promptly Fell asleep.

Sunday: Breakfast Time! Ok, So I wasn’t sure what time the B&B served breakfast so I set the alarm for 7:30am. It went off as expected and I didn’t hear anything out front so I Hit Snooze and Slept some more. It went off again and I still heard nothing So I went ahead and Turned off the alarm, deciding to just get up whenever. After about 20 min I hear this soft music playing. Sure enough it’s coming from the Alarm clock. I Figured I switched it to the wrong Position so I get up and Turn it all the way down. Back t bed I go, But 5 min Later I hear Music again, Softer than before but Still there. No Kidding, I Traced it back to That SAME Alarm Clock. No Idea what was up with it. Anyways….. Finally got up and headed out for Breakfast. We sat In front of the fire for a while sipping tea and then ate a wonderful Breakfast of Fruit and eggs Benedict. After Breakfast we packed up and headed Home. Lit a Fire in the fireplace and had a quiet evening at home. Pics from the weekend can be foound Here

Monday: Not Too Exciting of a day, except that At midnight a Certain X-box Game got released. 11pm I headed to EBGames to pick it up. Played for about an Hour when I got home.

Tuesday: HALO 2 DAY!!!!! Umm Not Much to Blog except that the Game Rocks! If you have an X-box You NEED to have this game. It makes Halo 1 feel like Wolfenstein 3D. If I can find a way to form emotion into words I will try and write a Review later On.

So Here I am on Wednesday trying to play catch-up. I take my Truck in to the Dealership tomorrow to have some Teflon Coating put on and have them check out the Back window which is Squeaking. I have to say I love my Truck. It’s so nice knowing that I have a well Made Truck that will not really need Maintenance for a very long time, and That I get Really Good Gas Mileage for a truck of that Size, Not to mention all the Niceties of The Interior and the Warrantees and such. Hmmm wouldn’t it be nice if some Older Trucks or SUV’s Like the Chevy Blazer. (:

I Finaly Did it!!! After about 3-4 years of wanting a Truck, I finaly went out and got one. and I even got the Truck I wanted!! I am So excited! Here are Pics of the Truck

I really like it. It’s very very Long because of the Long bed and the 4 doors. But I can Haul anything now! Conventions will no Longer see a Packed Saturn. It’s very comfortable and even has a Decent ammount of room in the Back Seat. One of the Things I plan on Upgrading is the Radio. I want a MP3 player in there so thats Prolly next on the List.

I am very very Happy and I got a Great Deal on it. Yay me!

Yes it’s election day. No, I did not Vote. Here is the why:

Ok As most of you know I am now living in VA, Former Military from Cali, I Just Recently changed my “alliegence” to Virginia. Well I was late. Apparently I was about 5 days late. You see, you have to be a Resident and register before like October 5th. So here I am on Election day with no little Sticker saying I Voted, and about 15 millions people Sending me messages asking me if I voted.

Now, On the Flip side, I was probably Going to Vote for ******* because I am Not sure I agree with everything that XXXXXXXX Says. Some of the Policy of &&&&&&& is Ok but I think that %%%%%%% will handle the Job a little better.

Besides, I Live in VA, and it’s a red State. So it doesn’t really Matter who I vote for.

Friday Night: I decided to Take Amy on a Romantic Night out. We went to a Nice restaurant that happened to be the same on I took her to on one of our First dates. She had no Clue until I had the Waitress sit us at the same table. It was all very Romantic. We walked around the City and then went home and had a Nice quiet evening in front of the Fireplace.

Saturday: We were supposed to wake up in time to go to a Parade and Troop, But Umm Waking up at Noon kinda changed those plans. SORRY LORI! Anyways, we rummaged through the closet and found some Costumes to wear, and then Left for Marc and Lori’s Halloween Extravaganza! It was a Very Fun night, They had a Bon Fire and Everything!. I Posted some Pics in the Gallery. We ended up Crashing there and Heading out Sunday afternoon for Home.

Sunday: IT’S HALLOWEEN!!!! That’s right, Millions of Kids across the country Donning Costumes and Venturing out into the world seeking a massive sugar buzz! Except in my neighborhood apparently. Anyone who knows me knows that I love Halloween. I love Seeing the Kids faces when you dump a Huge handful of Candy into their sack. So I Dressed up my front window with lights and Spiders and Skulls, I Had Spooky Music Playing out the window, I had a Mildly Deformed Pumpkin On the Porch, and I in my scout Trooper Costume Sat Waiting for The Kids.

Nuthin. ): I walked around my Neighborhood Briefly and Saw no Kids anywhere. No Happy Faces running from Door to Door. No Shouts of “This House Has Milky Ways!!!” Wafting in the Cool night Breeze. No Squish of Trampled Candy Corn on the ground. It was like My Apartment Complex had become the Ghost Town. Sadly I Marched back to my house and Removed my Trooping gear. I Turned down the Music and Sat in my Chair Listening to the Sounds of Nothingness Drift in through the window. In the Distance I Heard a Small Giggle, I looked up to See My Neighbor and her Little Girl walking Up. Seeing me Perk up she Turned towards my Door and I heard the oh so familiar Words That I had Yearned for all Evening “Trick Or Treat!” My Eyes Teared up as a Grabbed a Huge Handful of Candy and Dropped it into her Bag. She was the 1 and Only trick or treater I had all evening. About 10pm I shut down my Lights and closed the windows and went to bed. /sigh. What has Happened to the Halloween I knew. Apartment Complexes were Gold Mines. Hundreds of Doors and Barely any Walking. And Now What am I to Do with a Cauldron of Left Over Candy? Anyone Want a Candy Bar?
